Prince George, B.C.- Today is B.C. Day, a time to celebrate  the Province.  This year, B.C. was  front and centre with the Olympics and Premier Campbell  is hoping  you can recapture  some of the spirit of the 2010 Olympics today.

"When the world arrived in February to watch the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games we rolled out the welcome mat, and showed the world that when we work together we can accomplish anything.

The Olympics created unforgettable memories for Canadians and we'll never forget that it happened right here in British Columbia. The magic of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games lives on in every corner of our province.

This B.C. Day, I urge you to recapture some of the spirit we all shared in February, and enjoy the splendour of our province that awed the world. British Columbia's natural beauty is unparalleled, and it's right outside our doors every single day of the year.

We are fortunate to live in the best place on earth. Take some time to see your province this B.C. Day, and create new made-in-B.C. memories to share with your family and loved ones".

Huble Homestead advertises the following
------------------------------
Homestead Days - Sunday, August 1 & Monday, August 2
Join us Sunday and Monday for our premier pioneer event, which is so jam-packed with activities that it requires two days of celebration! On both days visit the blacksmith and see sheepherding and pioneer demonstrations, ride the ponies or the Railway Museum's mini rail, participate in the many old fashioned contests, visit the history displays, and bid on a homemade lunch in the boxed lunch social.

Monday features a demonstration by the Northern Twisters at 1:00 and blackpowder shooting (to the dismay of many dogs!).
--------------------------------
Nothing on the City's site that stands out. But then again, it is not exactly an outstanding type of site. Even a bloodhound would not be able to find anything on there.

Try Fort George Park .....

DBIA???? LOL
hmmmm not much hey I guess Ill go to town and see if she is abandond like yesterday
The only lot filled was the one at the casino. Where is Tourism BC. One would think that they would have our streets loaded with tourists.

We sit on our deck and its a relief their appears to be no traffic anywhere. Not even on our front street. They have all left our great City and gone to places mor exciting.

As an after thought hey Palup where did you go? Just wondering. And Gus is going to Huble Farm. See you there.
Cheers
Town is deader than a doornail. Went to Fort George Park but didnt have a problem gettng a parking place. Had a hamburger and a walkabout. Not too many people there.

Lcoal Radio Station was keeping the kids busy, and that was about it.

I didnt see you at Huble Farm Gus. Lots of people there. Got lots of nice photos. And Pal blew it and went to the park. That should teach you a lesson.

Much excitement whatching the old blunder busses being discharge, Tons of pollution but didnt see my friends there from Pasha.
Cheers
I was hiding in the salt shed. :-)

No, actually I did not say I was going there, I just posted that there was something happening there today.

I have not been there for some time. They should have had a good turnout today. Hope you enjoyed yourself.

We sat in the backyard and enjoyed it. Being a very nice summer this year. No mosquitoes to speak of so we get to eat outside a lot.
