Stop to Fall Trees Ends in Death

Quesnel , B.C.- A stop to fall wood for firewood has ended in tragedy southwest of Quesnel.
RCMP say a Quesnel couple had attended their property  yesterdat at approximately km 53 on West Garner Road when they learned of  the evacuation order. On the way back to Quesnel, they stopped to cut some firewood on Crown land adjacent to their property.
A 52 year old man was killed when he was struck by a falling tree.
The man's name has not been released pending  notification of next of kin.
