Homicide Victim's Name Released

Prince George, B.C.- RCMP have released the name of the man  found dead  on Yew Street last week.

RCMP have identified the male victim as 48 yr old Sylvain Victor Roy.  Roy was originally from the province of Quebec but has been a long term resident of the Prince George area.

Police arrested 44 yr old Patrick Mathewsie and he is being charged with manslaughter in the death of Sylvain Victor Roy. Mathewsie appeared in court on Wednesday and has been remanded in police custody.
