Vancouver, B.C. - The Province of B.C. will provide $150 thousand dollars to the Red Cross to support flood victims in Pakistan.

"On behalf of all British Columbians, I wish to extend our condolences to the families of the victims of this disaster” said Premier Gordon Campbell “The tragic flooding in Pakistan has destroyed entire villages and left millions without homes and in need of assistance. At times like this  it is important that the global community works together to help provide for the victims of disaster."

The flooding has impacted nearly 14 million people in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Sindh provinces over the last two weeks. The floods, considered to be the region's worst in 80 years, have killed an estimated 1,600 people

"My point is if you can afford NUCLEAR WEAPONS, Have extra money to support the Taliban, THEN YOU CAN HELP YOURSELFS."

I gotta admit, thats pretty tough to argue with
Who gets to cash Gordos cheque? Some Taliban leader? Hope not.
Foreign aid is a federal responsibility for the reason that it is the federal government that can pay for it if need by by printing more money and devaluing our dollar if the markets even notice it.

The province has to pay for it out of taxes collected, and since we are in deficit this will be borrowed money to give as foreign aid, and as such until all provincial debt is paid off countless future generations will be paying the interest on it.

My bet is the money goes into the hands of the friends of the bankster Crown opium traders who we are now protecting in the tribal regions of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Its big business and a small cost to keep the minions happy goes the thinking. For Gordon Campbell its all about the politics of it with our tax dollars.
Donald Mackenzie has it right! Nuclear powers should not be given any monetary support whatsoever!

A hundred thousand for this, a hundred thousand for that, then it adds up and who knows in whose Swiss bank account the money ends up!

Look after us first! Fix our potholes, support our schools and hospitals, etc, etc.

Common sense has vacated the minds of our politicians who think our money is theirs to play around with, grandstanding!

The Red Cross can raise funds from private citizens who give voluntarily!
Bang on PrinceGeorge!
Wonder why they never ask canadians what they want them to do?
I think you fools need to look into how aid is distributed in these situations.
"Wonder why they never ask canadians what they want them to do?"

I think I know why! They don't think of us as Canadians. They think of us as canadians.

Subtle but significant difference, Andy!
