Chetwynd - RCMP have arrested a suspect believed to be involved in the death of Harley James Allison. RCMP in BC learned that the man had fled to Alberta. Efforts to locate the man were successful and he has been returned to BC to face unrelated charges.

 

In addition to the current investigational findings, officers are awaiting the examination results of forensic evidence and final autopsy reports. Dependent on the investigation findings, it is anticipated that a report is to be forwarded to the crown in the coming months, for their determination of charge approval.

On July 30th, 2010, at 5:45 PM, the Chetwynd RCMP were called to an area in the 5700 Block of the South Access Road for a report of a man down. Upon attendance RCMP officers located a local man in a wooded area off a residential/commercial area. The male was suffering from undetermined injuries. The male was identified as Harley James Allison, 48 yrs old of the Moberly Lake area.

 

Allison was initially transported to the Chetwynd Regional Hospital for assessment then flown to Vancouver General Hospital. It was confirmed that Allison had been assaulted. In the early morning hours of August 1st, 2010, Allison passed away as a result of his injuries.
