"To be recognized nationally by our industry has been extremely rewarding to the VIC (Visitor Information Centre) Counsellors and reinforces the value of their efforts to our community."

That's Tourism Prince George Manager, Deborah Kulchiski's response to word the Downtown VIC's entry won a photo contest held by the Canadian Tourism Human Resources Council.

The downtown location opened at 1300 First Avenue just over 18-months ago and is a showcase of art and architecture from Northern B.C..  Kulchiski says last year, counsellors at the centre served more than 26,000 visitors in our city.

The winning photos will be showcased in the production of a new on-line training program for Visitor Information counsellors across the country.
