Street sign shows area near shooting, it was 2200 block of Oak Street

Prince George, B.C.
-  Prince George RCMP are now releasing the name of the man killed in a brazen daylight shooting in the city's VLA neighbourhood last weekend.

25-year-old Darren Allen Munch is the 7th homicide victim of the year in Prince George.

An autopsy conducted in Kamloops yesterday confirmed that the Prince George resident died as a result of several gunshot wounds.  He was shot on Oak Street last Saturday afternoon.

RCMP Constable Gary Godwin says police cannot yet say whether Munch was connected to a gang, but he did live a high-risk lifestyle.  The Serious Crimes Unit, North District Major Crimes Unit, Prince George Crime Reduction Team and RCMP Task Force are all involved in the murder investigation.

Oh, the name did not change.
The person who murdered this guy can go for my neighbour next.
I hope that I am not your neighbour DPJ.Anyhow this is just a turf war or doing the wrong thing at the wrong time in the wrong place.Something these young guys shouldn't be fighting over as there are more important things in life, and the fact that they never do get to discover this fact, means there lives were cut too short.
I am bitter towards a neighbour (an older lady) that has called the police for just being nice towards her. Now am warned I will be arrestd if any contact with her again. So she deserved to be behaeded.
What a ridiculous comment... Obviously the neighbor was smart to get the police involved. Neighbors have a right to feel safe too....
