Prince George, B.C. - Prince George RCMP are now releasing the name of the man killed in a brazen daylight shooting in the city's VLA neighbourhood last weekend.
25-year-old Darren Allen Munch is the 7th homicide victim of the year in Prince George.
An autopsy conducted in Kamloops yesterday confirmed that the Prince George resident died as a result of several gunshot wounds. He was shot on Oak Street last Saturday afternoon.
RCMP Constable Gary Godwin says police cannot yet say whether Munch was connected to a gang, but he did live a high-risk lifestyle. The Serious Crimes Unit, North District Major Crimes Unit, Prince George Crime Reduction Team and RCMP Task Force are all involved in the murder investigation.
