Evacuation Orders & Alerts: A Listing

Prince George, B.C. - As reported on Opinion250 last night, five residences living near Punchaw Lake along Blackwater Road have been ordered from their homes...

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George issued the evacuation order after fires burning in the Pelican Lake Complex crossed into the district's boundary. The situation will be closely monitored throughout the day.

The Cariboo Regional District also expanded the number of residences on evacuation alert, as a result of activity within the Pelican Complex, to 66, from 25. A total of 47 properties are under evacuation order.

CRD Media Liaison Officer, Shelly Burich, says approximately 100 people attended each of two information sessions a city hall in Williams Lake yesterday to get basic information and clarifications about the evacuation orders and alerts.
