Woman Dies After Fall From Bridge

Alexis Creek - The RCMP and the BC Coroners Services are continuing their investigation into the death of the 59 yr old woman from the USA, who was vacationing in the Tsylos Lake Central BC Interior area.
 
 Her death occurred Saturday August 21st in an area two and half hours out of Alexis Creek.
 
The woman was accompanied by a companion during her vacation. 
 
Scene examination and inquiries have revealed that the woman toppled off of a low height bridge, less then fifteen ft above a shallow river and suffered fatal injuries as a result of the fall.  
 
Police say the evidence to date has determined the death is non-suspicious in nature.
 
The RCMP has notified their Washington D.C. branch International Liaison Officer who is currently assisting in notification of next of kin efforts with American authorities.  
     

 The Alexis Creek RCMP are continuing to assist the BC Coroners Service in their investigation into this death.  An autopsy will be performed in order to assist in determining the exact cause
