Prince George, B.C. – They were on a tight budget, but they supplied the elbow grease, all in an effort to beautify their community.
The Hart Community Beautification Committee was busy last night, freshening up the  entrance sign to the Hart Highlands and planting perennials.
“We don’t have much of a budget” says Kareen Graham, “So we got most of the plantings from our own gardens, but we used what budget we had to buy the paint.”
Under cover of plastic to protect them from the rain,  the painters painted. The planters carried on with their planting. This morning, that Hart Highlands sign will have a fresh new, bright look, and new plants which will be back again next year.

Well done! That sign has been any eyesore for so long. Too bad the City didn't chip in, but good on those people for taking matters into their own hands
A nice job, looks great. Just hope some arsehole doesn't vandalize the sign again.
well done, thanks
Great to see. College Heights also needs to freshen up their sign along the highway. We don't need to wait for our so called city to help up beautify.
That's awesome. I think its the only landscaped city property in the Hart (with a third of the cities population)?

Great to see some volunteers contributing to improving the community like that.
