Bulkley- Nechako Rescinds Evacuation Order for Tascha Lake

Burns Lake, B.C.- More families affected by wildfires in the Lakes District can head home today.
 
The Regional District of Bulkley Nechako has rescinded the evacuation order and alert for the Tsacha Lake area near the southeast boundary of the regional district.
 
While residents can return home, the Ministry of Forests and Range still has a closure restriction in place. The area affected includes a geographic block covering Tsacha, Neyasri, Blue,Cluchutka, Tsilbekuz and Stuyvesant Lakes and also includes the entire length of the Ootsa 9000 Road (also known as the Green 9000 Road).
 
The closure does not apply to permanent residents or workers that have authorization to enter the area.
 
Approximately 283 homes are still under evacuation alerts because of the West Nadina and Binta Lake fire complexes.
