Prince George - The British Columbia Hockey League's Prince George
Spruce Kings have announced two additions to the hockey operations
staff.
Joining the Spruce Kings organization as an assistant coach is long time
Prince George resident Jason Garneau. Garneau has coached in the Prince
George hockey circles for many years, having been head coach of pee wee,
bantam and midget rep teams.
He also has had extensive experience with BC
Hockey's Best Ever Program. Garneau was also a WHL scout for the past
several years.
Also joining the staff as an assistant coach is former BCHL general manager
and head coach Tom Bohmer. This will be Bohmer's second stint with the
Spruce Kings as he was previously an assistant coach with the team during
the 2004/2005 season.
He was most recently the general manager and head
coach with the Quesnel Millionaires during the 2007/2008 and 2008/2009
seasons.
Prior to that, Bohmer was an assistant coach with the Penticton
Vees during 2006/2007 season helping guide them to the BCHL Interior
division championship.
Bohmer now calls Prince George home and is looking
forward to again working in the BCHL and for the Spruce Kings
