Puddles pooling along sidewalks and in school yards...

It hardly seems like the last full week of January.  Today's temperature has set a record high, climbing to 8 degrees Celsius.

That breaks the record of 6.9 degrees set 13 years ago in 1996.

The record low for January 25th in Prince George?  -45.6 degrees Celsius, recorded back in 1950.

As for snowfall,  the most snow on the ground was a boot-topping, knee-pushing 81 centimetres in 1982.

Environment Canada is calling for a 60-percent chance of rain or snow overnight, with the temperature dropping down to -6.  Tomorrow, the temperature will rise to -2 under mostly cloudy skies and be back up to 2 degrees by Friday.
