School Registration Starts Today

Prince George, B.C. -  The unofficial countdown to the new school year begins today with School District 57 schools open for registration later this morning.

Students new to the district and those who've moved to a different attendance area over the summer can sign up in advance of the first day of classes on Wednesday, September 8th.

For elementary aged children, today is the only day to register, between 9am and 3pm.  Parents should bring a copy of their child's birth certificate.

Registration for secondary students runs between 9am and 3pm, as well, as follows:

College Heights Secondary          August 31, Sep 1&2

Duchess Park Secondary             August 31, Sep 1

Kelly Road Secondary                   Sep 2&3

Prince George Secondary             August 31, Sep 1&2

DP Todd Secondary                      August 31, Sep 1

Mackenzie Secondary                   Sep 2&3

McBride Secondary                       Sep 1-3

Valemount Secondary                   Sep 1

When registering at a secondary school, District 57 officials are requesting a copy of the student's birth certificate, proof of address, and a copy of the most recent report card.
