Prince George, B.C. - The official announcemnt of who will be awarded the  Canada Winter Games  for 2015 will  be coming down on Firday, September 17th around 9:30 a.m.

You are invited to attend the event via  live streaming video at the Atrium  between CN Centre and the Kin Centres Friday morningat 9:00 to  watch that  announcement.

Friday is officially "Jersey Day"  in Prince George and you are encouraged to wear your favourite sports  jersey to show  support and promote sport.

Manager of   Community Services, Colleen Van Mook says no matter how the announcement comes down on Friday, Prince George is  better for its participation in the  process "This is a huge project, and the experience of putting together a major bid will stay with us, so it  has been invaluable" says Van Mook.

Ten members of the  bid committee will be attending the announcement in Vancouver as will  10 members from  the bid committees in Kelowna and Kamloops.  "We are the underdogs in this process" says Mayor  Dan Rogers, "but  we came to the plate and put  forth an excellent  bid."
