Broken watermain  on  5th between Ospika and Brigade
Prince George, B.C. - Residents in the area of the 5th Avenue watermain break may be experiencing discolouration in the water in their taps. City  Utilities spokesman, Kevin Sanregret, says the water is safe to drink, “It just isn’t very aesthetically pleasing”.
He says any murkiness should disappear if the water is allowed to run for a while.
The watermain broke this morning, and crews have replaced the piece of ruptured line betwen Ospika and Brigade Drive.
The line was initially installed in the ‘70’s and the cause of the rupture is not yet known. The site is ready for backfilling and the water should be turned back on within the hour, the road re-opened by 4:00 this afternoon
“Basically when we have this kind of rupture, it’s like trying to get a creek to run backwards and some sediment will settle in the pipes” says Sanregret “Once the repairs have been made and the flows corrected, that sediment will clear up.”

Ok, sure, i believe you. How about the Mayor and the council come over an have a glass of water first.
Solid particles of unknown origin plus chlorine and fluoride in the water? Quite a cocktail!
Hmm, I wonder if the Ministry of environment needs to check that choclate milk out. Seems to me that there was a Flouride spill.
ahhh a cool glass of pg water and a deep breath of pg air!!!! ,,, hello 911 !!!!
I like murky water! Does Kevin have some sort of degree to make that decision?
"The line was initially installed in the ‘70’s and the cause of the rupture is not yet known"

I'm not so sure I believe this statement.
The rupture appears to be in the exact same place as the rupture from a couple years ago! I hope this time they do a better job of paving over it!
