Prince George, BC – The Prince George Cougars, in conjunction with the YMCA, have announced that former WHL star and Vancouver Canucks Captain Trevor Linden will be available during the Cougars 2nd intermission on Oct 1st for a meet and greet with our fans.  The City of Prince George will award a “Trevor Linden Day” proclamation on ice to Trevor during the second intermission.  To accommodate this, the Cougars game on Oct 1st will begin at 7:30pm.

“Trevor will be in Prince George to celebrate the Y Champions Hockey Weekend and it’s a pleasure for us to team up with the YMCA and make it possible for him to make a guest appearance at our game that night.” says Cougars Vice President Brandi Brodsky.  “We would like to especially thank the Y Champions Hockey Weekend presenting sponsor Wood Wheaton Supercentre for making it possible”

“We are so happy to be able to work with the Prince George Cougars and support the Prince George Cougars opening game night,” says Prince George YMCA Manager of Marketing and Communications Kathleen Daniel.  “To be able to introduce Trevor Linden to our Hockey community is an opportunity we are excited about.  It is a great addition to our event!”

Probably the best chance in years for the cougars to fill some seats! And it means that spectators will have to wait all the way until the second intermission before they give up and leave.
