Prince George, B.C.- Firefighters are mopping up after flames shot through the roof of a home on the corner of Moriarty Crescent and Madden this morning.
Deputy Fire Chief John Lane says the fire was spotted by a passer by around 9:30 this morning  who then called the fire department.
“The flames were coming from the attic area , and water and smoke damage has been limited to the second floor” says Deputy Chief Lane. He says investigators are still trying to pin point the cause, but there is nothing suspicious about this fire.
There was no one home at the time of the fire, and no pets in the house.
Damage is estimated to be about $100 thousand dollars.
