Snow falling softly past a city streetlight
Just how you view this week ahead, weather-wise, depends on your love of the "white stuff".
The light snow that started falling this evening is expected to leave a blanket of approximately 10-centimetres by the morning.
After a brief let up, Environment Canada is forecasting another five-centimetres tomorrow and more snow on Tuesday.
The situation could become interesting on Wednesday, when the high throughout the day is expected to reach 4-degrees Celsius and showers are in the picture.
Environment Canada says approximately 13-millimetres of precipitation fell, which works out to roughly 13-centimetres. But it was heavy snow, so the actual amount could have been closer to 20-centimetres.

Meantime, DriveBC, the Ministry of Transportation's website is reporting snow with slippery sections on both Highways 97 and 16, in all directions. The last updates, though, were earlier this evening, click here for the road report.
The snow is good news for area ski hills. Although, Purden is now closed until Friday. The mountain received 12-centimetres overnight Friday. Click here to view the resort's web page.
Tabor Mountain Ski Resort is advising skiers to phone ahead for hours of operation and whether night skiing is a go to 963-7542 or go to the website.
