Quesnel, B.C.– The Quesnel Airport has received $157,750.00 in federal funding to replace it’s aging wet/dry chemical spreader.
The machinery is used to maintain a safe, clear runway for all aircrafts.
“Our airport is a vital piece of infrastructure" says Quesnel Mayor Mary Sjostrom, "Not only does it open up the region for aviation tourism, but it plays a pivotal role in forest fire suppression activities, health care emergencies and economic development initiatives”.
The Mayor adds “The addition of new capital equipment is a necessity and we appreciate the investment the federal government is making in our regional airport.”
