Prince George, B.C.- Dr. Charles Jago has been reappointed for a second three-year term as Board Chair.

“I am delighted to continue my service as Board Chair of Northern Health”, says Dr. Jago.  “It is an honour to work with a strong and committed Board, an excellent management team, and all those who provide excellent healthcare to the citizens of Northern BC.”

Two current NH board members’ terms have also been renewed. Dale Bumstead of Dawson Creek, and Prince Rupert’s Cameron McIntyre will serve their second three-year terms through to December, 2013.

New to the Board is Sharon Hartwell of Telkwa.  She  has been appointed to a one-year term (to June 2011) with the potential for a further two-year expansion. Hartwell replaces outgoing director Judy Wass of Hazelton.

Hartwell works in Smithers as an Employment Counselor with Community Futures of Nadina. Previously, she was mayor of the Village of Telkwa for four consecutive terms and a former town councilor.  Hartwell has a wealth of experience serving on a variety of boards with a focus on health: she has served as chairperson of the North Central Municipal Association’s Health Committee, vice chairperson for health with the Union of BC Municipalities, and as chair of the North West Regional Hospital District.

“I have a strong interest in health care and look forward to using my past community experience and knowledge to contribute to Northern Health’s mission and vision,” said Hartwell.

what horrible writing.
You must have a problem reading , or is it a problem with the appointments.
Very suitable and deserving appointment.
Jago left a broken managment in UNBC
which has hardly recovered 4.5 years later. What will be left of Northern Health after his second term? Another
unhealthy system?
