Terrace, B.C. - A Terrace man has been charged with sexually abusing a disabled woman in his care.

RCMP say 59-year-old Phillip Gordon Beggs was employed as a caregiver at a group home in the city at the time of the offences.

Beggs is charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation of a person with a disability.

RCMP are not releasing any more details due to the sensitive nature of the investigation.

Beggs remains in custody pending his next court appearance.
