Prince George, B.C. - Prince George RCMP will hold a media briefing later today to discuss the investigation into the murder of 35-year-old Cynthia Frances Maas.
Police confirmed late last night that a post-mortem forensic examination of the body found in LC Gunn Park on October 8th positively identified the victim as Maas. (see previous story)
Maas was known to have lived a high-risk lifestyle. As was 23-year-old Natasha Lynn Montgomery. Montgomery has been missing from Prince George since August.
The discovery of Maas' body comes almost one year after the body of Jill Stacey Stuchenko was found in a gravel pit near Moore's Meadow. The 35-year-old woman had been missing for about four weeks prior to her body being found. No arrests have been made in her death.
