Prince George, B.C.- Provincial NDP leader Carole James is in Prince George today hosting a special forum.
The 'Our Province, Our Future' forum is taking place upstairs at the Civic Centre. The forum foundation was laid last spring at a one day summit in Vancouver. More than 200 people attended that session, to talk about improving the provincial economy and what the priorities should be moving forward.

The forum gets underway at 10:00 this morning with James delivering the opening remarks.

Hope shes not using the same "Strategies" which have resulted in loosing the last two elections.
Economic strategy:

1. List BC's natural resources
2. find them
3. exploit them
4. export them
Oh wait. That is what we have been doing.

Are we capable of doing better than that?
When someone comes up with the idea of taking the money made from selling the natural resources as feedstock to secondary and tertiary industry, using the money made from that to set up industrial enterpises in the regions which extract those resources in the first place, promote population bases of sustainable sizes to settle in those regions and provide the infrasturcture for those communities and their industrial and business bases to excell, then we have a political party that has some meat to it.

I do not see that in either the BCLiberals or the BC NDP.

Until I do, I think they are all full of hot air and see no need to attend a dog and pony show just to increase their ego.
Well, said Gus, At least the first paragraph.

Well said Gus.
I think that is the policys of the BC Refederation Party.
