More Public Input Opportunities for 2011 Budget

Prince George, B.C.- This has been a busy week for budget discussion in Prince George, and the talking isn’t over.
Thursday evening, a public consultation meeting  is set to take place at City Hall. This will be your chance to tell the powers that be, how you want your municipal tax dollars spent .   This is likely the most public consultative budget process this community has ever seen says Finance and Audit Committee Chair Murry Krause.  
The capital expenditure plan and the 2011 operation budget guideline will be up for discussion.
The meeting is set to start at 6 p.m. Thursday in the 2nd floor Conference Room at City Hall.
The meeting is in addition to the online survey on snow removal, and the annual survey of P.G. residents  that  will help City Staff in their budget preparations.
The two surveys are not the only ways to voice your budget priorities you can also:

It matters not want the general public wants they are going to do things their way by grabbing more tax dollars and keep doing it. Prior to the last election that got them there they seemed to have all the answers until elected. They know only how to raise taxes and buy up real estate that just sits empty or going to cost we tax payers a million dollars to tear down.
This is a smoke and mirrors tactic to make it appear that council will change their spending habits. I guess they have to change because the cupboard is bare and they will probably limit out the credit card with all the items on the wish list. Actually, it's more of a 'bucket list'.
