Prince George, B.C. -  If you don't have plans for your now-outdated Jack O' Lantern, here's a pitch you might be interested in...

The Exploration Place's annual Rotten Pumpkin Festival goes this afternoon -- for a twoonie, you can watch your pumpkin take flight as it's launched from the museum's home-made giant catapult.

This smashing affair is being billed as a "fun-filled pumpkin-flinging activity for the whole family."

The tossing begins at 3pm and runs until six in the parking lot.  There will a burger stand, with proceeds raised going to support programming at The Exploration Place.
