RCMP Block Highway 16 Near Terrace

Terrace- Police are still not talking about the closing of highway 16 in both directions from Terrace to Kitwanga.
 
Police closed the road Sunday and it has remained closed this morning.
 
Police with drawn guns were meeting the traffic on Sunday, but beyond that no information has been released.
 
 
If you want to drive around the blockade, be prepared for a much longer drive in order to reach Terrace or leave that community.
 
This is what drive BC  is saying;
 
Closed in both directions from Terrace to Kitwanga due to Police Incident. A piloted detour route is available via Hwy 37, the Nass Forest Service Road and Nisga'a Hwy 113. Eastbound openings from Nass Camp 11 km east of New Aiyansh at 8 am, 12 noon and 4 pm.
