Prince George, B.C. - A $1-million dollar re-surfacing project along the Old Cariboo Highway South of Prince George is now complete...
A nine-kilometre portion of the highway, from the City of Prince George boundary to Highway 97, is once again 'new', thanks to hot-in-place asphalt recycling.
Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Shirley Bond points out the Old Cariboo Highway is an important route for commercial vehicles, for traffic to the airport, and for residents living in the Pineview area.
She says, "The work we've done here and on the Cariboo Connector this year are good examples of how the province is ensuring the best and safest access possible to economic opportunities in Prince George and beyond.
