small bombs, about the size of a pen, have been exploding in mailboxes in Terrace
Terrace, B.C. – Small mailbox bombs detonated in a Terrace neighbourhood over the last month have RCMP concerned.
Police received complaints from families in the bench area of the city on October 3rd and November 1st about small explosives being set off in their mailboxes.
Investigators say the explosives appear to be home made and, judging from the damage done to the mailboxes, could cause serious injury to someone that was close by when the device detonated. RCMP say the people responsible for the bombs could face mischief or even criminal negligence charges if someone was hurt by the explosions.
Terrace RCMP are asking the public to contact the local detachment or Crime Stoppers if they have any information about the mailbox explosives.
