Fire Crews from three halls were called out to a blaze burning in the Hart Shopping Centre just before midnight.

Smoke and flames could be seen billowing from the rear of the old Arnolds Restaurant.  14 Firefighters managed to contain the blaze to a service room attached to the rear of the building.

Deputy Fire Chief Dale Kronebusch says a furnace and two cooler compressors were heavily damaged, but the restaurant, which is under renovation, was left unscathed.

Kronebusch says fire investigators were called in and have confirmed the blaze was deliberately set.  Damage is estimated at $40,000.00.

The restaurant was sold last fall and has been under renovation since then.  It  was supposed to re-open as "Adeline's Cafe".
