After receiving a report of a man carrying a shotgun, Prince George RCMP performed a high-risk take down in the VLA neighbourhood late this morning.

Corporal Holly Lavin says three officers arrived on-scene, and with their guns drawn, arrested an 18-year-old male without incident in the 2100-block of Pine Street.

Corporal Lavin says she's not sure if the gun was in view at the time of the arrest, but says the initial report was of a man carrying a shotgun, while riding a bike.

No one was injured during the incident, which occurred shortly after 10am this morning.

The matter is still under investigation.
