City Approved for One Flood Mitigation Project

Prince George, B.C. – The City of Prince George has received approval for one of it’s applications put forth for federal and provincial funding for flood mitigation.

The City will receive $66,612 dollars   for the flood relief erosion protection side channel at Cottonwood Island. The full project is estimated to cost just under $100 thousand.

The Prince George project is one of 13 flood mitigation projects throughout the province which have been approved for some federal and provincial assistance.

The City has not yet released information on when the work will begin.
