The draft of the Heritage Strategic Plan has been presented to Prince George City Council.   It outlines the priorities of Heritage work in this region and one of the first things that  should be done is to complete an inventory of heritage sites.    The plan also  calls for a budget of $10,000 from the City this year, and  by 2010, that budget be increased to $40,000.

Councilor Don Zurowski says he is looking forward to the public consultation  session which is set for later this month. He wants some clarification on some matters like more integration with the Regional District's Cultural Plan and expansion of the links with Communities in Bloom.

The public consultation session is set for Tuesday the 21st of this month at the Civic Centre from 7pm-9p.m (upstairs).  That will give everyone a chance to look at the report, make suggestions, and  have the Heritage Commission finalize the Plan for a return to City Council in early March.
