Prince George City Council has voted in favour of allowing the College Heights Community Association to use $15,000.00 from their portion of the Southwest Sector Reserve Fund. The money is to be used to complete the Southridge Park Ice Rink Project.
The Community Association had received $50,000 last year to help with the parking lot and road access construction costs. The Community Association paid for other items of the outdoor rink project, namely the boards and the asphalt pad.
The $15 thousand would be used to complete the lighting, end board meshing and the installation of basketball hoops for off-season use.
