Ed and Lynn Gilliard presented a letter to City Council tonight, advising of their intent to move KGV to their farm near the Hudson Bay Slough. Lynn says a Society has been established and some donations have already been accepted with more in the wings. She remains positive that moving the historic building is something that can be done. "We are getting some very positive messages " says Lynn, who says she and her husband have been having talks with the School District and so far, so good.
The letter asked Council for support and assistance. Maager George Paul says the best way the City can assist is to talk to the School District assuring the district there won't be any road blocks put up that would prevent the moving of the building.
"Things are looking very good, just look at Ed's Horoscope from Saturday" said Lynn. The small slip of paper read, "money moves into place, eveything after that is a miracle." Lynn is hopeful the City will give KGV historic designation, and that would be the first step towards making her miracle happen.
