Another Milestone In Opinion250 Growth

Prince George- We at Opinion250 have reached a milestone of sorts, as of November 14^th, we have reached 10,449 people registered to make comments on this site.

That number has been growing since 2005 when we instituted the comment section on Opinion250.

When you consider that the daily newspaper has a daily paid circulation of 12,161 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 12,930 on Friday and Saturday that number is very substantial.

You may wonder just how many commenter’s we have had to ban from Opinion250, that totals is 39 and we should point out of that number several of them had to be banned on more than one occasion.

That figure speaks to a group of people who comment on the news and events who stay within the bounds of good taste, and fair comment.

We average about 50-60 comments each week day, slightly less on weekends, with a high of usually 100 comments on Fridays (free for all).

We at Opinion250 want to thank you all for participating in the Opinion250 comment section; we look forward to a bigger future.

A great job by the staff at Opinion 250!
We may not always agree with what others have to say,but thank-god for at least having somewhere to say it!
I was recently suprised to discover that a lot of people down on the coast follow it as well!
Some interesting things being written on here,and even some damn funny stuff too!

Thanks to Ben and Elaine. 250 gives us a place to vent, and also to get other opinions on different subjects. In addition it is very educational as a number of posters do some research on subjects, and we get information that we would not necessarily get otherwise.

Now this is a story that's worth commenting on.

I love this site. I moved away from PG back in September of 2009 and this site is a direct link back to my birthplace.

When I come to this site I feel as though I'm still a part of PG.

Thanks for providing with me a link back home.

My thanks to Ben and Elaine also. When ever we go out of town I keep up with what was going on back home by brining up Opinion 250. Thanks for the reporting and lively comments

Anyway, Ben, Elaine and the gang. This is my source for news. I seriously doubt the effectiveness of the local paper, when you do such a good job. My Compliments to Netbistro as well.

Commenting here on this site sure put a dent in the quality and quantity of the letters to the editor in our daily rag. IMO.
