Prince Rupert, B.C. – RCMP are reporting a sad end to a missing persons case in the northwest.
After recovering the vehicle of 57-year-old Patrick Lyle Boulton from the Skeena River, investigators were able to find the Prince Rupert man’s body on the shore.
Police say Prince Rupert Marine Section officers found Boulton’s body Friday afternoon approximately 1.3 kilometres from where his Honda Civic was discovered the day before.
Investigators say the vehicle appears to have left Highway 16 as it was heading east, about 74 kilometres from Prince Rupert and did have mild to moderate damage when it was recovered.
Boulton was reported missing by his family October 10th. He had told a friend he was heading to Kelowna October 6th, the last time he was seen.
