Prince George, B.C. -  The fall consultation on the new  Official Community Plan has wrapped up, and  Manager of Long Range Planning, Dan Milburn says  the community  is indicating it supports a plan that would  concentrate development  along the corridors and in the community centres.  This is known as "option B".

Councillor Cameron Stolz says he is  not getting that message,  "In my time on Council I have never had  so many phone calls or  contact from people who are concerned about the OCP and the options we are looking at." Stolz thinks there has been some sort of communication disconnect because he is not hearing  support for  what is listed as "option B".

Milburn says there are still two more opportunities for the public to make comment on the  Official Community Plan.  The report to Council this evening  also  estimates the final  public consultations will cost $100 thousand dollars.

The  draft of an  official community plan  is expected to be  brought before Council  early next  year.

"Stolz thinks there has been some sort of communication disconnect because he is not hearing support for what is listed as "option B"."

So what is he hearing? Is this a secret?

Stolz should try attending some of the community meetings then. Option B was presented to the Crescents community in a workshop hosted by the city and the residents were overwhelming in support of this option.

So who is opposed to it? The money bags living in the heights and the masnions on the Hart?
Methinks there is a line at the bottom of our official community plan with an asterisk that says, "Subject to change without notice".
