Prince George, B.C.- The winter storm warning continues for Prince George.

Heavy snow and blowing snow with poor visibility will develop this morning.

An intense low pressure system moved close to the central coast this morning. The associated frontal system will bring heavy snow to the Prince George and Bulkley Valley and The Lakes - southeast regions today with total snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm.

The Arctic front will remain south of Prince George so the combination of strong northeast winds of 50 gusting to 70 km/h and the new snow will create poor visibilities in blowing snow.

The Cariboo - north region is also expected to receive near 15 snow today but blowing snow will not be as much of a factor. In addition strong northeast wind gusts to 90 km/h will develop this morning over the Williston region. The snow and strong winds will ease this evening as the frontal system moves to the east. Meanwhile the Elk Valley region will recieve upwards of 10 cm today and 20 cm tonight due to the front.

BRING IT ON! Nothing like a traditional Prince George winter to help us appreciate why we love living here. Sally Anne kettles love this kind of weather (silver lining).
I wonder how long the indians will blockade that road in this cold weather, my guess is not very long.
They will be hiding in their teepees pretty quick if you ask me.
