Prince George, B.C. -  A rockslide has closed the Trans Canada Highway near Hope...

Motorists traveling to the Lower Mainland are advised to use Exit 170 in Hope and travel via Highways 7 and 9 to return to Highway 1 just east of Chilliwack.

DriveBC is advising the route may be re-established by 5pm tonight, but will provide a further update at 7am.  For more information, go to www.drivebc.ca

Meantime, the Highway 1 is once again open to single-lane alternating traffic for a 15-kilometre stretch between Yale and Spuzzum, after being closed Friday by a three-vehicle collision, involving two semis, that claimed the life of a truck driver.
