Initiation C (7- and 8-year-olds) take their turn on Kin 3 ice

Prince George, B.C. -  These young minor hockey players were out on the ice for a good cause this morning, taking part in the local Kinsmen Club's 42nd Annual Skate-A-Thon.

Money raised through pledges collected by the kids goes towards supporting Kinsmen programs in the city, including: cystic fibrosis, the Prince George Music Festival, the Northern B.C. Friends of Children Society, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, and the Salvation Army.

As well, 45-percent of the gross proceeds are returned to Prince George Minor Hockey to support the hockey program.

The skate-a-thon wraps up in an hour.
