Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George Air Improvement Roundtable (PG AIR) will hold its annual general meeting tomorrow night, however, it has given Prince George City Council an update on its work, and its needs for the year ahead.
PGAIR is asking the City for $70 thousand dollars for the next year. That money would cover the cost of the salary ($30 thousand) for the Air Care  Coordinator, and PGAIR’s annual woodstove exchange program. The money would also be used for the anti-idle program and an education component.
The amount of money requested is unchanged from last year, and will be part of the budget discussions in the new year.
Air Care Coordinator  Kathryn Graham says since 2008, the wood stove exhange program has  resulted in  126 woodstoves being exchanged for more efficient models.
