Corry Willey and Tyson Scott introduce pugs, Otis and Mojo, to Santa
Prince George, B.C. - Otis was quite excited to have his picture taken with Santa, but settled down within a few minutes of entering the studio for a nice holiday shot...
Corry Willey and Tyson Scott brought their pugs, Otis and three-month-old Mojo, down to Quackers Canine Cuisine on 4th Avenue today for a 'Pet Pictures with Santa' fundraiser for the SPCA.
Local Photographer, Alex Zander, donated his time for the event, as did Santa, George Gough. Pictures were $20.
Gough says it was an absolutely awesome day. He says, "We've had a wonderful assortment of dogs through -- everything from St. Bernards, to Newfies, to Chihuahas -- and they've all been really good."
He says there were even a couple of cats who climbed up on his knee for a holiday picture and there were no scratches to be found on his hands. However, his pristine, white gloves were a little off-colour near the end of the six-hour shoot and the tips had been nibbled on several times.
This is the first year Quackers Canine Cuisine owners, Peter and Angel Dumoulin, have hosted the event. Peter says they own five dogs, two of them rescues, and they wanted to get involved in supporting the local shelter.
Longtime North Cariboo SPCA volunteer (37 years!), Norma Allison, says the store had the perfect set-up for the event because dogs who'd just been photographed exited through a side door, as the new 'subjects' entered the makeshift photo studio. She says the day went steadily and smoothly and all the pet owners were thrilled with the pictures Zander was able to capture.
