Downtown P.G. Holds AGM

Downtown Prince George, formerly, the Down Town Business Association has a new Board of Directors.
Nine people were elected by acclamation before a group of about 30 people tonight.
They are:
Bernie Blackburn, of Berbun Art and Framing
Shari Green, of J.J. Springer
Graham Hardy of The Art of Tanning
Lynn Kelly of Looking Good Boutique
Darren Low of City Furniture
Blair Moffat of Northern Hardware
Graig Prudente of W.D. West Foto Source
Trevor Williams of the United Way, and
Paul Zanette of Versa Design.
A chairman will be chosen from the group at a later meeting. During the President's address, Kirk Gable said the Fathers Day Show and Shine continued to be the largest attended function for the down town last year. He also said the future looks good for the down town after the Ghiai Development Corporation announced it will begin a three phase development in the down town over the next few years that will include a large number of residential accommodation along with new retail. He also pointed out the addition of UNBC in the down town will go a long way to improving its fortunes.
The director of the "2010 Legacies Now" Ian Tait was the guest speaker, encouraging people to take up the Olympic Challenge.
