Candidates for Liberal Leadership Active In the Region

Prince George, B.C.-  You can expect to hear  on Wednesday that Christy Clark, will officially enter the race for the Liberal Leadership.  The former Education Minister and Deputy Premier is  planning to  launch her  effort at a special news conference set for Wednesday afternoon in the lower mainland.

Over the weekend,  candidate Mike de Jong was in the region.  He huddled with  Liberal supporters in Quesnel,  and in Mackenzie.  He plans to hold a  town hall meeting  in Prince George, but the date for that session has not yet been set. 

Candidate Kevin Falcon will  be a guest on the Meisner program on CFISFM this morning at 9:00.  You can  hear that program through  live streaming audio by simply clicking on the microphone at the top of the page.

George Abbott held a phone in town –hall  session on Thursday night of last week. Existing party members were invited to take part, and 2,200 are said to have dialled in for the event.

As for Moira Stilwell, she met with  MLA Blair Lekstrom and the Peace River South  B.C> Liberal  Riding Association  to  hear their concerns.
