Ft. St. James, B.C.- Conifex Timber Inc. has appointed Kevin Horsnell as its Chief Operating Officer.

Horsnell is a Forestry Graduate from the University of British Columbia and obtained his MBA from Royal Roads University, he is also a Registered Professional Forester.

Horsnell’s extensive industry experience includes the management of all aspects of woodlands and manufacturing operations at a large interior BC sawmill complex.

His key responsibilities in his new role at Conifex will be the oversight and continued development of its forestry, manufacturing, and marketing operations at Fort St. James and Mackenzie.

Conifex recently restarted the Site II sawmill at Mackenzie on a one-shift basis and is planning to add a second shift at its Fort St. James facility during the first quarter of 2011.

In early November, Conifex had announced the new COO would be Blair Mayes, but two weeks after that announcement, Mayes stepped aside, citing unforeseen personal reasons.

one mill at a time, quietly Pat Bells work is paying off.
He spoke thats the funniest thing i heard this week yes you wait long enough anything can happen. Yeah you can get mills pretty cheap in mackenzie and there is only onehouse forsale. What a crock
Pat should resign and follow Gordo
I saw that! Only one house for sale in the entire town? Not sure how 52 properties come up on the Royal LePage site if that were true.

And it's great to restart mills! Just sell them all to foreign companies with environmental reputations so bad that even Burger King won't deal with them anymore. It's all Pat Bell's hard work though! So get on the TV and cry again about how much of hero you are to Mackenzie.
