Prince Geoerge B.C. – Councillor Debora Munoz will be back on the stand this morning to be cross examined by Brian Skakun’s lawyer.
Yesterday, Munoz testified Councillor Brian Skakun had visited her at her place of work September 12th of 2008 and told her he had given the confidential Kitty Heller report to the CBC. She testified he was agitated and in distress, “He had not intended for it to be published, he felt terrible, and thought about dying.”
The Heller report had examined allegations of harassment that had been laid against two City managers. The report found the allegations to be unfounded.
Munoz said she lived in a state of anguish until finally sharing that information with City manager Derek Bates and former Mayor Colin Kinsley on November 21st, about two and half months after Skakun had confessed to her.
Skakun is accused of breaching the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
