Prince George, B.C.- The City of Prince George is going cyber!

The City of Prince George will be launching live webcasting of all Council meetings at their December 13 meeting. Additionally, video archiving will also be implemented allowing the public to view edited clips of agenda items shortly after each meeting concludes.

“Throughout extensive consultation, our myPG project stimulated great community conversations around several topics, including how to better engage the citizens of Prince George. This initiative will allow us to reach out to an even wider audience, ensuring the public can stay connected to the City of Prince George,” said Mayor Dan Rogers. “Communication and engagement methods developed and practiced during the myPG project are becoming imbedded in the City’s business practices.”

To access the live webcasting feature, visit the City’s website on December 13 at www.city.pg.bc.ca  under Recent News or by viewing the Council agenda section.

Slowly Prince George is entering the 21st century. how about the city invests in wireless technology for downtown instead of buying downtown. Encourage private investment through infrastructure improvements. I think it would work better then selling real estate at a loss.
This was promised some time ago. Great that it is finally here for those of us who receive their TV in some other fashion than cable.

Thanks City Hall. Much needed.
The City needs to do more then provide a web cast of the stumbling and bumbling that goes on at council meetings.

How about a say in how our tax dollars are spent.
Cheers
