Permits for November Down

Prince George, B.C.- Building permits for last month in Prince George are down from the same month a year ago.
 
In November, there were 43 permits worth $2.99 million issued. That compares to 61 permits worth $4.12 million in November of 2009.
 
The year to date values are a bit more encouraging. Year to date for 2010, there have been 624 permits issued worth $129.6 million, compared to 592 permits worth $64.0 million for the same period in 2009.
 
Significant permits last month include:
 
300 – 299 Victoria Street, Tenant Improvement to Northern Health Authority Office, $300,000
1475 Edmonton Street, Tenant Improvement to 7 rooms at the University Hospital of Northern BC, $400,000
7 Single Family Dwellings, $1,625,845
 
Industrial Development Permit
5387 Hartway Drive, to construct 314 m2 warehouse building, Kidd Contractors Ltd,
 
Residential Development Permit
6525 Domano Boulevard, to construct 14 bare land strata residential units, Peace Valley Enterprises
