Rates for Civic Centre Use Going Up

Prince George, B.C.- Rates for renting rooms and services at the Civic Centre will be going up as of May 1^st, 2011.

Prince George City Council has approved a 5% hike, an amount City Staff say will keep the rates for the Civic Centre in a comparable position with comparable facilities in the community.

An exact comparison with local hotels is not available as staff say they are not able to offer incentive packages and there are limitations in the Civic Centre’s capacity to negotiate special rates.
